Share your holidays with Ziki

Back from your holidays, you’d like to inform discretely all your friends about your perfect tan or share with them your souvenirs of this camelback ride in the desert (sincerely, what else was it good for than for getting amazing photos …) ) ?

Of course there are many ways to do this. You just have to upload them to FlickR or Picasa and send your address to your family and friends. But have you already thought of  adding a photo feed to your Ziki too? This can be an easy way to keep everyone up to date directly within only one web space. Great idea, isn’t it?

There are two ways to share your photos on Ziki:

1) Add the web address of your photo site in your ‘Links’-section. This will add a direct link to your photo page on your Ziki.

2) Click on the ‘Add feeds’-link on the left side bar of your Ziki and copy/paste any RSS-photo-feed into the textfields that you’ll find in the form. Ziki supports nearly all type of feeds available and will automatically get your photos and display them directly on your Ziki profile.

The Ziki API is available!

Let’s start the mashup trend around online identity, web services and people search.

This API opens the platform to outside developers to create mashups. It is composed of 3 parts:

  • A people-specialized search engine
  • A tags search engine
  • Information specific to a Ziki (location, network etc.)

The API is available through this link: http://ziki.jot.com/WikiHome/Ziki-Public-API-EN

It is designed to query the Ziki search engine and use all the information from a Ziki in other web services. So we can imagine services designed around “active identities”, in other words, an asset you manage.

So ready to make your brain work and get creative?

Import into Ziki your contacts from Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and Linkedin

We have implemented a new feature which allows you to import your contacts into Ziki. It is simple. With one click you can invite people from your contacts lists.

Go to “My Ziki”, and under “My network” click on “Invite”

Make sure your friends go the Ziki way. Help them manage their identity and visibility on the Intrnet.
