Whether you’d like to start an online group from scratch with fellow bloggers sharing your interests, or you’re already part of a group (e.g. club, charity, school, online community) and would like to build its digital representation, Ziki Groups is for you.
We’ve just added new functionalities to Ziki Groups, so it now offers the same aggregating features as Ziki People and Ziki Companies. Let’s say the members of your group produce great content. Well, you can gather it all on your Group Ziki (e.g. blog entries, photos, videos, podcasts, events, and more). Or if you’d like to start a group around a specific topic, you may gather on your Group Ziki any source of information which you find of great interest for the group.
Ziki Groups is another way to connect with new people, share experiences and collective knowledge, gain exposure, promote your group’s projects, etc. As to how it works, it’s quite simple. The administrator of the group is the person creating it. Then anyone interested and part of the Ziki community may join the group. Tagging the group is open to all its members, while other stuff is reserved to its administrator (e.g. editing the group’s information, aggregating content).
So just go ahead and create your Group Ziki. You’ll see, it’s really easy to do. And if anything is not quite clear, check out our FAQ. Or just leave a comment here!
We’ve just enhanced the tagging functionality so you can now tag yourself, your company or your group in multiple languages. All sets of characters are supported. You can tag yourself in your own language, and there’s no need to delete your current English tags. You may, indeed, add tags to your Ziki in as many languages as you’d like.
When we first released Ziki we were anxious to launch, so we started with English only. But a lot of you come from non English speaking countries, so it quickly made sense to allow tags in multiple languages, for both ease of use and to increase the possibilities of connecting with new interesting people.
So now it’s done! Go tag yourself, your company or your group in the languages of your choice! To access your tags, log into your Ziki and click on “Edit my Ziki” on the sidebar.
