Using RSS Feeds on Ziki

As you have certainly noticed Ziki offers you a large variety of RSS feeds to be used in order to follow other user’s profiles.
The way you’ll use these social intelligence tools will obviously depend on your personal needs.
Here are only some scenarios that I think may interest you.

Keeping up to date on other user’s Ziki profiles:
To get a regular update on the whole content of a Ziki user you can add his RSS feed to your favorite RSS aggregator which will allow you to have an exhaustive and permanent follow up of the person of your choice.

For your working projects, for instance, this powerful tool enables you to get a real-time overview of your colleagues bookmarks (del.icio.us, ma.gnolia.com, etc.) by consolidating the RSS feeds of their Ziki profiles.

Recruiting:
Imagine you have to recruit someone with very specific skills, such as CSS integration, XHTML or AJAX programming. You just have to select  these three keywords in the tag list in order to filter out a list of profiles that may concern  you.

Ziki also allows you to add a selection of persons having the required skills and to subscribe to an RSS feed alerting you whenever a new user corresponds to your researched key words. So that if you are not satisfied with the initial member list you will get notified automatically by Ziki.

Discover new people and develop your network:
The last tool is not only limited to professional use. Using Ziki’s keyword RSS feeds can also let you discover people sharing your personal interests, living in the same city or working in your company.

Once you’ve filtered out a list of interesting profiles, you may backup their webpages to contact them whenever you like or share them with other persons, for instance, in order to recommend them .

The new Ziki search engine: to find a person or everything about a person

If you had the opportunity to look at the new Ziki, you certainly did not miss the search engine build to find a person or everything about a person. This is how it works:

Search by first and last name

If you enter a first and last name in the search engine, you get results from the Ziki community and the web. These results will display first the Ziki of the person(s) and our algorithms will extract all relevant information pertaining to these persons. You can filter these searches by language or country as well.

Search by a first name only

If you enter only a first name you will get all the Zikis with this first name, ranked by popularity on Ziki (highest number of views).

Search by a last name only

Same as the first name, you will get all the Zikis with this last name, ranked by popularity on Ziki (highest number of views).

Sharing a search

If you wish to share the result of a search with someone you just need to click “share” and a window will pop-up with le link of your search. To use it again do cut/paste.
