Ziki’s blog | Archive for the 'privacy' category

Some of you may have become victim of spam through the Ziki message box today.

Ziki’s an open community, which means that all of you have free access to anybody’s contact information. Ziki’s services are based on this manner of networking. Spam is a risk related to this model and we are trying to minimize it.

As Ziki is a rather young website, we have just begun our fight against spammers. But our security measures are improving quickly so that this risk will decrease again.

Thanks for your comprehension and don’t hesitate to report undesired messages by clicking on the report button below suspicious emails (it is a link within the email). With your help we can block spammers rapidly and it helps building an antispam database.
Thanks !

Privacy on Ziki

Did you know that you can select easily from whom you’d like to be contacted through your Ziki ?
Just click on the “Privacy” link in the side menu on the left!
Within four quick steps you can define your private sphere within Ziki.

Select

  • who’s allowed to send you messages via Ziki
  • who may see your list of contacts
  • to whom you’d like to show your own contact list
  • to whom you’d like to show people who added you to their network

You can perfectly personalize your level of privacy: just chose to show everything to everyone, share information with the Ziki community  only, just show it to your personal contacts or keep it secret for anyone.
