Ziki has a new skin and a lot of new cool stuff

It was time. Since Monday Ziki has a new look and some cool stuff have been added:

  • A sophisticated search engine for persons

An estimated 30 percent of Internet research relates to people searches. “To Google someone” has become a part of everyday language. You want to know more about a person you are going to meet, on someone you just met, to track down an old friend or former colleague? You can find them through Ziki, even if they are not part of the Ziki community.

  • A new user interface

The dominant colors are now black, white and yellow. The size of the heading has been reduced to give more room to the user’s profile. And the user’s content has kept its white background to better catch the attention of visitors’ eyes. The Zikis resulting from a keyword search are now located on the bottom of the page to allow you to better browse Ziki profiles.

  • A search engine for your content and your Ziki network

This new search field is located on the top right hand on your Ziki profile. You can search on a Ziki content or on the content of your favorite Zikis.

  • Social bookmarking

Your favorites Zikis and fans is displayed on your homepage. The number of your connections (when you add a profile to your favorites which in return add your to their favorites) is also displayed on your Ziki.

  • Connection/On-line status

You can see if a member is online or when the last time he/she was connected. We can also see when, and at what time, a member came to visit your profile.

  • Re-publishing of your Linkedin resume

Thanks to the implementation of the microformat standard on Linkedin we can capture the data published on your Linkedin profile and republish your resume directly on your Ziki profile. No need to re-enter your information.

  • Reading list

It is now possible to add your reading list in the OPML format (blogroll) to your Ziki. It will be part of the content searched by the search engine.

  • Customization of your homepage

You can choose the content to be displayed when you log-in: photos, videos, bio, sample of your content etc..

  • And much more to discover..

Spend a few minutes and browse the site, and please do not hesistate to give your feedback or suggestions!
